About Dr. Copeland
Dr. Walter E. Copeland II, DMSc, also known as Walter Copeland, is the founder of Your Health is Wealth Coaching, a practice built on a simple belief. True success begins with health and the way we care for ourselves and our communities. Through personalized coaching and evidence-based strategies, he helps people build healthier habits, reclaim their energy, and step into lives of greater purpose and impact. He is based in Philadelphia, PA, and provides both in-person and virtual coaching services nationwide.
For more than twenty years, Dr. Copeland has combined professional experience, academic training, and community-centered work to design wellness programs that meet people where they are. He creates practical plans that address real barriers, debunk common nutrition and lifestyle myths, and offer sustainable approaches for each person’s unique journey.
At the heart of his work is a holistic philosophy. Health and wealth are deeply connected. By helping clients build stronger bodies, clearer minds, and more grounded routines, Dr Copeland shows how well-being can open doors to opportunity, stability, and generational progress.
Dr. Copeland earned his Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Healthcare Leadership and Public Health with a specialization in AI Applications in Health Science and Business from Northeastern University. He also holds a Master of Science in Applied Nutrition from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Purdue University.
Dr. Copeland is also a Certified Health and Life Coach from the Health Coach Institute, an Exercise and Sports Nutritionist from Precision Nutrition, and holds advanced training in Health Behavior Coaching from Yale University, Management Information Systems from Howard University, and online blended teaching from the University of Pennsylvania.
Alongside leading Your Health is Wealth Coaching, Dr. Copeland serves as a Professor at Rider University, Rutgers University, and the Community College of Philadelphia, where he teaches business communication, marketing, Management Information Systems, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
He also teaches leadership and workforce-focused courses at the Community College of Philadelphia, supporting adult learners and professional development pathways, including emotional intelligence and soft skills.
Beyond the classroom and coaching space, Dr Copeland partners with organizations and communities to address health disparities, challenge systemic barriers, and promote equity in care. His mission is to create lasting change by emphasizing the reasons behind healthy habits, encouraging consistency, and equipping people with tools to thrive in mind, body, and spirit.
